I have been blessed to know a woman who is not only a beautiful Sister-in-Christ, but also a recently published author! I was honored when she shared her book with me, and I wanted to share it with you so that you may also be blessed.
Before I talk about the book, however, I wanted to express that author, Angelina Rose, has a sweet, loving, and lively spirit that not only reflects in her daily walk with the Lord, but also transcends into the pages of her book. She has a gift to encourage others, and her book, HeartSnacks- Volume 1, Almond Sampler, offers small tastes of encouragement throughout the day.

What I liked most about the book was that I could easily gain a quick nugget of truth and insight no matter how busy I became during the day. We are often on the go, and this travel friendly devotional offers great opportunity to “snack” in between “heartier meals” of Bible study. For those days that we do have quiet time to reflect, however, Angelina included a place for us to write our thoughts and prayers. I found this devotional to be not only encouraging, but practical.
God calls us to focus on whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, and lovely (Philippians 4:8). Resources like Angelina’s book, HeartSnacks- Volume 1, Almond Sampler, allow us to do just that even in the midst of our busy lifestyles. What an amazing and anointed concept. Ashley Lynch-Harris sure knows how to review such an important work whose sole intention is to feed the spirit.
