Hi Ashley,
I just finished The Hotel Westend, and it was the most enjoyable mystery I have read in years. I am also a huge Agatha Christie fan, and your style is clearly an homage to her, but also completely original at the same time. I am very eager to read more of your work! Thank you for your great contributions to the Mystery genre!
Hi Matt,
Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m glad you enjoyed it! I am working on the second mystery now, and I can’t wait until it’s ready to share! I’m always excited to chat with a fellow Agatha Christie fan. Dame Christie was one of the first mystery authors I ever read, and I was thrilled by how clever her stories were. That was the beginning of my love for the genre. Thank you again for your wonderful comment.
Agatha Christie was my introduction into the world of Adult Mystery fiction when I was in the 7th grade. I was the only one in my group to actually read the entire novel. Somehow, the rest of my group found The ABC Murders boring (this still baffles me). But for me, it was the most ingenious novel I’d ever read, and she’s been my favorite author ever since.
I’ve worked in libraries my entire life, and my wife is a Librarian. I’m encouraging her and many family members to read The Hotel Westend. Also, I’m going to convince the Head Librarian at our library to purchase it! She is a big Mystery fan as well, and I know that she would enjoy it.
In the past, I’ve been asked to name my favorite Agatha Christie novel. What a difficult request! They are all wonderful, but I would reply A.B.C. Murders and And Then There Were None. I can’t imagine a group of readers finding A.B.C. Murders boring! That’s a baffling case, indeed. 🙂 Also, I remember reading And Then There Were None for the first time and being blown away by the engaging story line and the brilliant solution!
Thank you so much for sharing my novel with your family. I really appreciate it, and I hope they enjoy the story!
Hi Ashley, Thank you for the book, bookmark and pen. I just finished reading The Hotel Westend last night. I enjoyed reading it. It was like playing Clue.
Hi Brandie. You’re very welcome. I’m happy to hear you enjoyed it! I remember Clue! I haven’t played in a while, but I’ve always enjoyed the mystery games. I also thought that the movie version was a lot of fun. 🙂 Thank you very much for your comment.
