As the end of the year draws near, I thoughtfully sit before my computer doing two things. First, having been stricken by one of the most devious nemeses of Christmas—the common cold—I find myself methodically cleaning my keyboard and desk with disinfectant wipes.
Second—and on a happier note—I also sit here contemplating the year as a whole. It’s been pretty awesome. To keep it short and sweet, I will just say that God has blessed me with amazing loved ones, and I am so incredibly thankful. So, without getting all mushy, I lift my glass of Alka Seltzer Cold and Flu and wish you many blessings this coming New Year. Theodore Roosevelt once said:
“It’s not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled, or when the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena; whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs and comes short again and again; who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions and spends himself in worthy cause; who at the best, knows in the end the triumph of high achievement; and who at the worst if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory or defeat.”
